Located in the Downtown Disney West Side entertainment complex, the 1671-seat Cirque du Soleil theater is the only freestanding home for the Canadian acrobatic troupe.  The Teflon-coated fabric tensile structure enshrouding the 70,000 square foot building is a contemporary representation of the traditional circus tent, while the decidedly high-tech detailing reflects the cutting edge nature of the performances within.  As Architect-of-Record, GSB, Inc. worked closely with the design team, which included Disney Imagineering, Rockwell Group, Sceno Plus, and Cirque du Soleil.
