The Edmond Christian Church congregation desired a family life center for their youth activities that could also be used for large services and theatrical productions. A modest building budget necessitated the use of a pre-engineered building structure. To allow the building to blend with their existing church building, brick with matching color covers low shed roof areas. Accent bands of complimentary brick color introduce a palette for future use. Entry porch areas are finished with wood trusses and decking. A massive concrete support column completes the structure. The interior program includes a high school regulation basketball court, men's and women's locker rooms, kitchen with serving line, generous furniture storage, and classrooms. Future expansion of a new grand sanctuary would utilize the new contemporary building forms and traditional materials. A wood and concrete colonnade will connect the campus completing the designed master plan.
