The Freshman Academy is an independent facility located on the campus of a major suburban high school. This $7.3 million project provides a separate, dedicated home for the education of 9th grade students easing the transition from middle school. The heart of the 51,000 SF building is the day lit, two-story Commons area which serves as both cafeteria and central gathering place. With classrooms, science rooms, administrative offices and support areas, this is a fully equipped academic facility. Students access the adjacent high school to utilize its library, performing arts and athletic facilities. The project was completed for the 2008-2009 academic year.
