Edmond Memorial High School Freshman Academy
The Freshman Academy is an independent facility located on the campus of Edmond Memorial High School. This $7.3 million project provides a separate, dedicated home for the education of 9th grade students – easing the transition from middle school to high school. The heart of the 51,000 SF building is the day-lit, two story Commons area which serves as both cafeteria and central gathering place. With classrooms, science rooms, administrative offices and support areas, this is a fully equipped academic facility. Students access the adjacent high school to utilize its library, performing arts and athletic facilities.
This project received a 2008 Build Oklahoma Award from The Associated Contractors of America and was
featured in the 2009 Architectural Portfolio issue of American School & University Magazine.
