Oklahoma Christian University
Gaylord Activity Center Renovation

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

GSB, Inc was tasked to provide architectural services for the phased remodel of the Gaylord Student Activity Center. Phase 1, was comprised of the relocation of the bookstore which included identification of a new location to accommodate additional and new needs for the growing University. A larger facility was desired to expand the offerings of the bookstore, update the image, and make it more visible to students. After programming the bookstore, GSB helped select a location that is visible from outside the building and offers a fresh, updated look.

Phase 2 included the Student Recreation Center and restroom remodel. The space in which the bookstore previously occupied in the building was remodeled and re-purposed for Student Senate offices and a game room hosting ping pong and pool tables. This phase also included interior remodeling which included remodeling of restrooms and removal of walls to increase visibility and flexibility of space. Phase 3 was comprised of the Student Commons area renovation.
