UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA INDOOR ROWING FACILITY

NORMAN, OKLAHOMA

GSB, Inc. was selected to provide professional services for programming, project design, construction documents and construction administration for the new Indoor Rowing Training and Athletic Department Storage Facility at the University of Oklahoma. This 25,000 square foot facility houses a 12,000 SF practice facility for the OU Rowing Team and a 13,000 SF storage warehouse for the Athletic Department. The Rowing Practice Facility includes a dynamic propulsion rowing tank, erg training room, therapy room with hydro therapy tanks, locker rooms, laundry facility, team meeting and lounge room, and offices. The lobby offers visitors panoramic views of the dynamic propulsion rowing tank and the erg training room. Large projectors and screens are utilized in the dynamic propulsion rowing tank and erg training room to help simulate outdoor rowing experiences for the athletes.  The facility also includes a storage warehouse for the Athletic Department. The space stores items such as track & field equipment, traffic control items, gates and turnstiles, marketing materials, field maintenance equipment and semi-hazardous materials like fertilizer and paint.
