Bob Mills Furniture

Temple, Texas

The newest location for the successful Bob Mills Furniture company occupies an existing building that previously housed a local Temple, Texas furniture business.  The building, originally built in the 1970s with concrete double T precast members, was given a much needed renovation.  The client asked GSB, Inc. to create a building aesthetic that would dramatically change the appearance of the existing precast structure and could be accomplished with a modest budget in a short construction timeframe. Always being sensitive to the context of the site, GSB created a design that is regional in nature, responds to the site, and uses materials that are derived from the local vernacular of the Hill Country of central Texas.  With a palette of regional materials such as Texas limestone, natural finished galvanized metals, white stucco finishes, and cedar wood siding, we artfully composed this thoughtful solution with the client's resources in mind.
