Cox Convention Center Hockey Improvements

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

In preparation for the inaugural season of the Oklahoma City Barons, an AHL Hockey Team affiliated with the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers, GSB, Inc. was hired to design a $3 million package of improvements for this 40-year old arena. Enhancements included a new locker room suite, VIP club for priority ticket holders, team merchandise store, weight training room, a press room, laundry, promoter’s room, luxury Loge Boxes, various storage and support spaces, and the blue line restaurant and bar. New lighting and accommodations for advertising signage were also added to the arena and concourses. When the project was completed and play began in Fall 2010, fans welcomed the new team and discovered several attractive new amenities, and the team itself found vastly enhanced facilities at their disposal.
