Oklahoma Christian University
Noble Science Wing Addition

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA

The Noble Science Wing addition was the third phase of a three-phased project to renovate and expand a 40-year old brick building housing the University’s life science department. Completed in 2010, the 2-story 3,500 SF addition captured an existing outdoor covered area. The $2.7 million addition houses general science labs, classrooms and much needed faculty office space. The roof is designed to accommodate a future greenhouse and a roof terrace for use by the Astronomy program.

Phase 1 included renovation of biology labs in 2006. The facility was stripped down to the structure and refitted with entirely new ductwork, lighting, cabling, wiring, lab casework and equipment. The interior spaces were reconfigured to accommodate the current academic programs and included new finishes throughout. Other modifications improved energy efficiency, handicapped accessibility and fire safety. Phase 2 was completed in 2009 and included renovation of classrooms, labs and restrooms.
