We prepared conceptual site and floor plans to assist the owner in developing the 48-acre site for this 1.5 million square foot hotel and convention resort, located just minutes from Orlando International Airport and Walt Disney World.  The resorts’ design theme recalls the Spanish Revival style architect Addison Mizner brought to the wealthy Florida communities of Palm Beach and Boca Raton.  Hotel guests follow a meandering boulevard with golf course views until they reach a landscaped turn-about that leads them to a formal palm tree lined axis with the hotel entry court.  Surrounding the 1500 key hotel are site amenities including a variety of resort-style swimming pools, tennis courts, and a health club with a private lap pool and spa.  Dining options include a three meal buffet, fine dining room with terrace, a lite bite/food court, a pool bar and grill, and a golf clubhouse grill.  A 95,000 s.f. grand ballroom is included in the 250,000 square feet of convention and meeting space.  A 17,000 square foot golf clubhouse serves the 18 hole championship golf course that winds its way around the entire hotel and convention resort.
